It's easy. You place an order on our website or by calling us, then we shop and deliver to you within a few days. On the day of the delivery, we call you to tell you that "today is the day." After we shop for you, we call you with the exact grocery receipt so that you can put your payment in an envelope and leave it for us outside. When we arrive at your house, we leave the groceries and the store receipt, and collect the payment.
Cash is best because our volunteers need to get reimbursed for your groceries immediately, but we also take checks made out to "Cash." If an out-of-town family member is paying for the grocery delivery, we will take a debit or credit card in those instances.
We wash our hands before and after each delivery, and wear nitrile gloves while shopping. We do not enter your home, and instead handle the transaction at your doorstep or porch. When we arrive, we spray all surfaces of the packaging with antiviral spray. It is recommended that the packages sit for five minutes before you bring it into your home.
Yes! We need people to take orders over the phone, and to shop/make deliveries. Please contact us for more information.
You are eligible for this service if you meet at least one of the following criteria: age 60 or above, compromised immune system, or caregiver for a sick person. If you do not meet any of those criteria but have extenuating circumstances that prevent you from being able to enter the grocery store, please call us to discuss and we may be able to deliver to you.
